Since its founding in 1997, La Dual Band has worked on the classics: not because they are "modern" or "relevant", but, more importantly, because they are alive. And good for all of us, even for those who have never met them.

Since 2015, in partnership with Artepassante, we have built and now run Il Cielo sotto Milano: a 100-seat theatre inside the Porta Vittoria railway underpass. Some have called it the first theatre in the world set inside a commuter rail station. Il Giorno called us "the hidden soul of Milan".

The protagonist of our seasons is the Passante: the passer-by. We watch them through the glass walls that surround our space on three sides: running for the train, strolling and curious, in couples, with children, with dogs, suitcases, bicycles. Sometimes they come in. The doors are open.

With 49 productions to date, and half the board under 35, La Dual Band is a leading cultural association for English theatre performed in English, and for every form of performance that walks the thin line between theatre and music. Our actors are native English speakers or fully bilingual, and they are all singers and musicians.
